You will support building the customer specific value proposition with specific focus on the Business Units capabilities (product/ assets), general market/ industry dynamics and competitive positioning. You play a crucial role (either as project sponsor, lead or subject matter expert) in the execution of the BU priorities with main focus on non-base and some capex projects.You collaborate intensively with a wide variety of Business Unit functions and teams (Commercial teams, supply chain, marketing, operations and finance) and also with multi-disciplinary teams of different Cargill Business Units. Effective and efficient coordination within these multi-disciplinary teams is an essential part of the job. Combining deep understanding of the business Units (product/asset) capabilities, the competitive landscape and customer/ market demand for chocolate products is essential for effective product management and achieve the business targets.Major Tasks- Strategic Pricing: Optimize profitability over the entire BU value chain. Analyze the profitability of the product portfolio per category/region and impact on sales strategy.- Competitor analysis: lead the process of information gathering to fully comprehend competitor�s pricing (full value chain, seasonality, replacement etc) and translate to tactics, pricing and strategy.- Drive the budget process- Margin and volume targets: Set volume objectives for product portfolio based on capacity constraints. Set margin targets in line with BU budget and analysis of value chain profitability. Manage capacity vs. sales vs. budget over the year and take active leadership to achieve this; responsible for coordination with operations and supply chain.- Risk management: Cooperate with trade/origination to facilitate trade game plan execution.- Production and Assets: Support development and implementation of LT asset strategy and owner of the commitment request. Lead in ST asset strategy and optimizing the product portfolio per plant from a capacity/margin perspective. - Accountable for rough cut capacity planning together with supply chain & production- Investments: support development business case and impact on capacity utilization- Innovation: Provide input on business case regarding impact on entire organization, co-guide TSS.- Change leadership in BU strategy roll out and participate / lead BU critical projects.
